Keep More Money in Your Wallet This Thanksgiving!

During the holiday season, everyone wants to make the Thanksgiving get-together one that each person will remember. While doing so, our budget a lot of times falls by the wayside, which ends up causing more stress in the new year because of all the debt incurred over the holidays. But not this year! This year, you are going to make memories without overspending, right? Right!

A Thanksgiving Budget

Being a “host” or “hostess” for Thanksgiving dinner can be quite an honor. However, it can also be a huge financial burden. The turkey. The side dishes, the desserts, the decorations. The list goes on and on…and on! Yet many people will offer to help. Don’t refuse their offers! Instead, have your guests bring a side dish to Thanksgiving dinner. Not only will this help take some financial stress off your plate since you will only need to focus on the main dish, but you will also be able to spend more time with your guests on Thanksgiving Day instead of being confined to your kitchen.

Also, your decorations don’t have to be over the top. Focus on keeping things simple, and let the food be the sight for everyone’s eyes! If you do want to add some fall touches here and there, think natural decorations, such as pine cones and leaves, that you can find in your own backyard. In addition, you can stop by your local thrift stores to see what inexpensive and beautiful decorations are available.

The team at Cleveland Bradley County Teachers Federal Credit Union wants to wish you and your loved ones a happy Thanksgiving! We are grateful for you and your business, and we hope to continue serving you well in 2017!
