How Teachers Can Recharge This Summer | Cleveland Bradley County Teachers Federal Credit Union

It is the moment you have been waiting for—summer break. There might have been times you thought this day would never come, but here it is!

Our team at Cleveland Bradley County Teachers Federal Credit Union wants you to use this time to recharge your batteries so that come August you will be refreshed and ready for a whole new school year!

Start Maximizing Your Summer Days

Throughout the school year, you have been focused on your career, your students and your colleagues. You’ve been getting stuff done.

Now that it is summer, it is time to turn the focus on yourself and take some much-needed me time so that you can clear your head and find yourself again.

Play Tourist

When was the last time you really enjoyed the city that we live in?

Take some time this summer to play tourist. From visiting the Hunter Museum to exploring the Tennessee Aquarium, there are a number of amazing sights to see in and around the Chattanooga area. Go exploring once again!

Find a New Hobby

While you have probably found yourself making holiday crafts throughout the year for your students, you need to use this summer to build upon a hobby that you enjoy.

For instance, do you really enjoy painting? Consider taking a painting class. Or perhaps you used to dance when you were younger. Why not find a dance class—or even a Zumba class—that you can enjoy throughout the summer?

Read for Enjoyment

Now that you are through with another school year, you can catch up on all the books you have been wanting to read! It is important to read for education, but it is also important to read for enjoyment. Therefore, take time to enjoy a book or two—or as many as you’d like—this summer.

Plus, you were probably telling your students how important reading is all year long. Use this summer to practice what you preach!
